The period furniture and decor in the hotel give a nostalgic and charming atmosphere. The rooms were well maintained and clean, providing a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure all our needs were met. the location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the surrounding waterfalls and landmarks.
The pub that was once a church lacked support and often seemed quiet. It would be better if the pub focused more on its historical significance rather than having a TV.

The loyal staff was a plus, the location was very pleasant! The room was large, comfortable bed. Also, main attraction such as Thelwall's Museum was 1 mile from this hotel.

Late Victorian decor: Stepping into our room was like stepping back in time to the elegance of the late Victorian era. The parquet floors and antique furniture gave the room a charming and nostalgic atmosphere that made us feel like we were living in a period drama. It was truly a unique experience.
Unsafe in certain parts.

The location was great, with plenty of other entertainment options nearby, including a local pub down the road. The hotel was situated close to other sights and places of interest, and surrounded by beautiful mountains. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with good views from the windows. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was comprehensive and satisfactory.
The lack of air-conditioning in the rooms made it uncomfortably hot, especially in the absence of any other form of cooling.

This hotel in a small village has a great location on the main street, nestled between mountains. The rooms are adorned with authentic old furniture from the early 1900s, which adds to the historic charm. Additionally, the breakfast is top-notch, cooked to perfection with eggs made to your preference.
All was well, no improvements needed.

Nothing to complain about at all.

The breakfast was decent and the staff was nice. There were homemade scones and the location was close to some beautiful scenery.
The rooms were outdated and the bathtub was either boiling hot or freezing cold, making it difficult to shower comfortably. The town itself was incredibly small and there were limited options for dining and nightlife.

Stunning Location and Exceptional Service
During my recent stay at a charming hotel in a historical village, I experienced an unforgettable adventure. The hotel perfectly blended vintage ambience with modern comforts, creating a unique atmosphere that captivated my senses. The surroundings were tranquil and offered a haven of peace where I could truly relax.
Although I must mention a minor drawback of the stay, such as the occasional leak in the bathtubs and a mix-up with the payment process, these were easily overshadowed by the hotel's overall experience.

Had a great Easter break in this historic gem. Loved the freshly cleaned rooms and friendly staff. the central location was unbeatable for exploring the town on foot. the secure and spacious parking was a nice freebie that made our stay easier.
While it had a lovely old-world feel, the dampness in our room was a letdown. a few amenities like the kettle were hard to find.

I got great value for my money at the Royal Hotel in Pilgrim's Rest. The room had a charming, old-fashioned feel and was clean and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a safe and enjoyable experience.
The breakfast option could have been better, with some improvements needed in the crockery and cutlery for a cleaner and more pleasant dining experience.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel in the small village. The location is just perfect as it's situated in the main street between mountains. The staff provided great service, and the rooms are beautifully decorated with real old furniture from the early 1900's. The coffee in the hotel room was a nice touch, and the breakfast selection was impressive.
All was good!

The rooms at The Royal Hotel Pilgrims Rest are absolutely charming! With their late Victorian decor and parquet floors, they give off such a cozy and nostalgic vibe. The private bathrooms with a bath are also a nice touch. As a family with young kids, we really felt like we were transported to a different era.
One thing I personally didn't love was that some rooms have a balcony. I know, some people might find it amazing to have a balcony, but with the little ones, I was a bit worried about their safety.

I always stay here, no regrets. Staff even helped with sim cards during my first visit. It suits me perfectly with free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, bar/restaurant, and a range of activities to enjoy. Can't wait to come back for the weekend!
